Architect and/or Architectural Technologist/Technician

Mellor Architects’ are seeking to recruit two positions at our Kendal office to work on a variety of projects ranging in size and across various sectors including private residential, healthcare and commercial.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Architect and/or an Architectural Technologist/Technician.

The successful candidates will ideally meet the following requirements:

  • Good understand of design and detailing
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and, ideally but not essential, Revit
  • Have job running experience across all areas of a project life cycle
  • Is able to liaise directly with a wide range of clients
  • A good working knowledge of the Building Regulations
  • Experience of using National Building Specification (NBS)

The successful candidates will be comfortable working as part of our established team as well as being responsible for their own individual projects.

Our current projects include healthcare refurbishments and extensions, a new build contemporary residential property within the Lake District National Park, and the conversion of a former school accommodation into private dwellings.

Our Kendal office is on the doorstep of both the Lake District, a World Heritage Site, and the Yorkshire Dales National Park, an area which offers an unrivalled quality of life, particularly if you enjoy outdoor activities.

The town itself is well connected with J36 of the M6 just 10 minutes from Kendal and the West Coast Main Line calling at Oxenholme – The Lake District station on the edge of town. This means that Manchester is a little over an hour away by car, Edinburgh and Glasgow around 2 hours by train and London Euston around 2 hours and 45 minutes by train.
